| ArtWalk visitors can experience ‘Love Buttons’ |
|
“Love Buttons” is artist Gregory Sale’s more literal approach to wearing your heart on your sleeve. Sale initiates the process by going public with private text on campaign-style buttons. Yours might say You under-punctuate m.e, or beauti-fully, or RADIATE. You might notice somebody else is wearing the same button or a mate to your button; or two people may decide to exchange different buttons with one another. The interactive art project, commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art/Scottsdale Cultural Council, will be on display—and handed out—7-9 p.m. July 10 at the Lisa Sette Gallery, 4142 N. Marshall Way, as part of the Summer Spectacular ArtWalk. Love Buttons is multi-authored with assistance from a loose collective of poets and Spork Press in Tucson, Ariz. The event is free to the public. For more information, call 480-990-7342, visit www.scottsdalepublicart.org or www.love-buttons.com. |
