Flu Shot Clinics Continue in November

Scottsdale Healthcare offers adult flu and pneumonia vaccines at many locations throughout the Valley. A vaccine is the best way for people to protect themselves from getting the flu or pneumonia.

Flu shots are recommended for people who are over age 50 or who have chronic medical conditions. Because the vaccine is widely available this year, Scottsdale Healthcare encourages all people to be vaccinated.

Upcoming flu shot clinics include:

• 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 19, Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, 7400 E. Osborn Road, main entrance

• 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20, Sunflower Market, 4402 N. Miller Road

• 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dec. 12, Sunflower Market, 4402 N. Miller Road

• 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 14, Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, 7400 E. Osborn Road, main entrance.

Adults and children age 14 and older can receive the flu shots. Flu vaccines are $25 per person, and pneumonia vaccines are $35 per person. Clients should present Medicare Part B insurance cards for proper billing. HMO Medicare+ Choice Plan members must pay for vaccinations. Those who cannot attend one of the clinics can call the Scottsdale Healthcare Flu Line at 480-323-4685 for a convenient time and location.
